CSC 442 Data Mining
by Dr. Steven Crain. Surrounded by Data, will you sink or swim? We are being
increasingly deluged with data from personal electronics, Internet use,
scientific investigations and medical devices. This course provides a
systematic treatment of the theory, algorithms, and design of data mining
and data warehousing systems. The course will cover the knowledge discovery
process and the use of machine learning in data mining.
Prerequisites for this semester:
completed any substantial 3 cr. CSC course at the 300 level or above, and
be enrolled in csc341 or have completed csc223, csc336, csc341 or csc441.
